Lesions in the oral mucosa are a common disorder of the oral cavity. Salivary gland malfunction or bacterial infections are often to blame. Gum inflammation (gingivitis), for example, is caused by the accumulation of bacteria, which then reside on the tooth as plaque. The resulting inflammation often leads to diseases of the periodontal apparatus (parodontitis).
We place great importance on oral health. A large percentage of the population suffers from abnormalities of the oral mucosa, most of which are harmless. Malignant lesions, if detected early, can be healed easily, as well.
